Moving to Dargaville


Dargaville, Gateway to the Kauri Forest, two and a half hours drive north west of Auckland, is a unique town of approximately 4,500 people. In the past two decades Dargaville has grown as a tourist destination, especially as a central base from which to visit places such as – The Kauri Coast, the Great Outdoors to which more and more discerning visitors are returning each year

Situated on the banks of the Wairoa River, Dargaville is the Kauri Coast’s largest settlement and famous as New Zealand’s Kumara Capital. Dargaville is a good base from which to explore the region’s attractions, such as the magnificent kauri forests, the beautiful Kai Iwi Lakes, the vast stretch of west coast beach and the historic Kaipara Harbour.
